Oakheart's notes about this work:
Experimenting with stream of consciousness and combining words. Describing the core of my angry feelings and thoughts.
Heatglow fireitch needlescratches
It's never my fault it's always their fault
Why
Why why why why why
Whywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhyyouneverfuckinganswerme
I hate them and them all
No more words to call them they've lost effect
Shakinglimb itchynose poundfists
It had to be me this never happens to them
Blind and you don't want a cure
Stupid
Stupid stupid stupid stupid
Stupididiotfoolmoronblindignorantstoplaughing
The words still won't help they don't even know what they mean
These words I'm writing
I don't even know what they mean
They've lost effect
Comments on "Essence of Heatglow"
It's funny that you titled the poem what you did, as the meaning you conveyed struck me, at least, exactly as the essence of anger. The stream of consciousness style is so unorthodox and so beyond the scope of what traditional grammar and writing can convey, that naturally it's one of the most accurate ways to capture such intense emotions and such confusion and lack of clarity -- and prevalence of frustration and hysteria -- in the mind.
Excellent, excellent work. And above all, thank you for writing a connection -- living proof that nobody is alone...what I mean is, of course, that your writing (this experimental piece in particular) lends itself to great relatability, and as far as I'm concerned, great writing and great art in general is defined solely on an individual basis -- and that basis is based on how relevant the artistic expression is to the observer.
When he sees a reflection of himself in the words of another, something special happens, which I believe is indeed the revelation that we're all not as separate and isolated as we think we are.
Again, excellent work.
Thanks for sharing.
