There's a bouquet of daisies on a side table in the living room. It's been there a week; most of the flowers are shriveled up and turning brown. I don't know which is more odd - the fact that no one told me there they came from, or that I never bothered to ask.
Meh.
Lana called me last night. CO was robbed at closing. She said there were two men, with guns; they got all the employees face down on the floor in the back room and demanded the money from the safe. Lis told them it was in the front of the store, they made her open it and took all the money and then emptied out the drawers from the register. They didn't take the change. She said she didn't want me to find out from the news and get scared. Guess it was lucky they crossed me off the schedule on Sundays. Today, after closing, I was escorted by a police officer to my car. The whole time I was hoping that everyone would be too preoccupied to ask me when I'd gotten my license. That'd be sort of awkward.
Speaking of awkward, my banker came in today.. By the time I recognized her, I was already speaking English. That was really weird. Almost as weird as seeing Linda Moore in the bathroom at MCC. Some people you just shouldn't see outside of work. Or the bank.
I still can't understand how she could've screwed up my name so badly on my account. I mean what kind of idiot does it take to look at a piece of paper, with three lines clearly stating that this person will from now on be known as that with the simple task of copying the that and then write a completely different word.. And when I say completely, I mean a completely different word. And when I came back to check on my account she started gabbing about how much I've changed and how I'm a lovely young lady now. Gee, how sweet of you.
And before I could get over that issue, I show up at work, only to find my new name misspelled in the punch clock. It's not that fucking hard.
I need to send the paper to the credit card place. Can't wait to see what idiotic spelling they'll come up with.
Going to the DMV tomorrow, hopefully they'll let me take the test this time. Wish me luck.
