Sheepdog_McFry: I agree with you. I couldn't finish the poem off though. Maybe if I give it more time I will find some inspiration. I just sat there for hours wondering hwo to finish it then ended up submitting it and doing something else

Jib: I love how sensitive haiku are, too, in terms of how they respond so hugely to the tiniest additions or subtractions and the arrangement of the images in addition to the exact words used to describe them; for this reason, I appreciate your comment even more, because -- just like writing them -- receiving feedback on them works in the same way...that is to say, even the tiniest thing (the word vibrant) has a HUGE impact on the approach for the poems. So thanks again, it's much appreciated!

Jib: Ohai! XD Thank you for the kind words, and it makes me feel really good that you want to write haiku too...it's such a great form -- they seem to "come to you" a lot more than other types of poetry, simply because they're so simple

Jib: The textures/lighting/shade/tint/all that fun stuff work really well together. It's like something out of a short story...I'm not sure what that means, but I'm sure it's good! Anyway, thanks for the kind words, but unfortunately he's not my dog I don't have any pets, so I play with other people's instead -- that dog's name is Seanie, and he belongs to a friend I've had for quite a few years. And it DOES have an alien-head protruding from that ladybug costume! LMAO (I really do think that chihuahuas look like aliens, generally speaking. It's quite fantastic)
