Jib: Thank you so much! I don't think I've ever had a happy birthday from that far away before :) Thanks again, and let me know how you've been; things seemed to be going well last I remember, but life is always constantly changing. So yes! Never a bad time for leveling >=D
Jib: awww yeah
Jib: Time to catch up on sleep and sleep and more sleep and -____-
Jib: :p XD So how's everything been going for you lately? Any news?
Jib: Wild Banana appeared! PRIMEAPE used PEEL! Wild Banana fainted!
Jib: Oh! That's right! I remember now... >=D Ready to go catch some in the afternoon? I think we can stop by the shop to pick up some ultra balls, might need some potions and maybe even some revives too...
Jib: Damn...okay, do you have any of that wild pokemon attraction stuff? I think I remember that. Like a spray you could use, or a whistle you could play to make wild pokemon aggregate around you. And roast marshmallows and stuff. I want to be friends with a Primeape and a Machop. That would be AMAZING
Jib: Ultra ball didn't work :(
Jib: A silver dragon...man, come to think of it, that's like that sky whatever pokemon. You know, the metal bird one. Yeah, I forgot what I'm talking about...but I think it has steel wing, fly and aeroblast. We might be in serious trouble.
Jib: Awesome. Okay, let's start power leveling.
Jib: LMAO okay, what level are you? And what are your special attacks?
Jib: YES! I was actually running around with a blanket on, pretending it was a cape. That was pretty awesome. And lol, I can't stop laughing at Chuck_Norris' post in my SBox. It's out of context, but even in context, that's hilarious. Now everyone who goes to make a post is going to see that -- that's just making me laugh. You know what? I feel like a kid again right now, even though I'm not running around in a pair of tighty whities and a makeshift t-shirt cape and crashing into a couch, nearly breaking my arm, screaming that I'm Captain Underpants. I was dumb as a rock when I was a kid...good to know it hasn't changed :) !!!!
Jib: You can get your imagination back; with enough practice, playing outside can be just as much fun as it always was. At least that's what I've found...or...ah well, I admit I don't have it down yet, but I believe it's possible! To be a kid again...
Jib: No it is not D: Have you been too? I'm not guilty! I'm innocent!! BURN THE WITCH!!! NEAAAAOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Anyway, yeah, I've been acting more like a kid lately. Playing imagination and whatnot...seriously, it's as much fun as I remember it being. Imagination can make kicking a tin can more fun than actually going into a space shuttle, you know? And I love wallabies so much, I want one.
Jib: XD XD Ah, gonna have to as well...I think there are people outside who'd like to see me flogged, tied to a stake and burned to death. That's no good >_< If only these things only existed in videogames...!
Jib: That's good =] And about the same for me. I'm becoming a shut-in basement dweller >_<
Jib: :):):):):):):):) HEY! How's it been going lately?
Jib: Lashing out like a wounded animal -- I always keep that in mind. Doesn't make the problem any easier to handle, but it makes it a lot less stressful when you don't take things personally, you know? In any case, let me know how she's doing, and how you're doing as well, all right? Feel free to keep me updated ;)
Jib: What's up? Something in particular going wrong?
Jib: *high five*
Jib: Yes!! It's always nice to be in touch with a fellow practicioner ;) And I'm absolutely thrilled that you got something out of it, really. It's what it's all about :) And...I forgot all about lemurs! I will add wallabies to that list, and foxes as well.
Jib: It WOULD be a crazy adventure game! What kind of animals would you make for it, or characters? Also, thank you so much for the comment -- it made me really happy to know that you liked it that much. Long as one person gets something out of it, it's worth it!! Thanks again :)
Jib: You're most welcome; and thank you too for the kind words. Go for wander...gofer wander. Gofer Wanderer: Tales of the Shadow. Maybe we could make a game like that. Could be something like Banjo Kazooie or maybe something like uh...hm. Let me think about that one. But you have a good rest of the day/night/life/hoorah and take care 'til next we meet. :) Thanks again man. Wark!
Jib: Thank you for the comment! And also, I apologize for any 'blurriness' in the comment I made on your journal entry; I've been mentally drained lately, and I seem to be losing my ability to think clearly. Such is life...I should start looking for a retirement home, huh? ;)
Jib: http://www.yousendit.com/download/YkxLNU1NNnluSlJFQlE9PQ
Jib: There's a song by Roy Harper called "It's Tomorrow And Today Is Yesterday." That's all I have to say about that for now!
Jib: ;) and also...tomorrow's only a DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jib: ROFL omg that made my day. You really are a funny guy, you know that?
Jib: get back on the wagon! Grab those reigns and drive that homework all the way home! STUD33333333333333333333 yeah. Because I'm that l33t. u g0t2 stud33 4 ur ex4m 1st hav3 t0 . I think I just felt a part of my brain leak out of my ear.
Jib: sleeeeeep.yessssssss............... -.- z z z zzzzzzz zzzz z z z z z zz zawaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Jib: Let me know how that goes, okay? My friend's in programming to -- or computer engineering, or something like that -- and it's taking a lot out of him. That stuff sounds incredibly rough...my brain would pop if I tried to do that >_< So good luck, and again, yes, let me know how it goes! And no exploding brains!
Jib: oh dear  java mocha?
Jib: *hides in cabinet and sucks thumb/eats cookies with peanut butter and trembles fearfully*
Jib: Yeah, YEAH IT IS!!!!! See? Capslock is plenty of fun. Capslock is equal to MOAR FUN! :) oh no early morning + lack of sleep = does not compute / SYNTAX ERROR
Jib: Moaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!
Jib: Fun but not appealing; I know just what you mean there. I've seen quite a few movies like that...okay to watch just one time, but not something that has any "replay value." Videogame terms seem to cover a good amount of things, don't they? ;)
Chuck_Norris: Yesh, I get tha alot.
Jib: Great that you fell asleep...2 hours is a lot of time, but hey, as long as you got some shut-eye out of the deal, nothing to worry about, right? And let me know if you do indeed decide to go see that movie today...sounds like a good time :) No throwing bricks in the theater though!! (okay, but just ONE, and not at anything other than an inanimate object!)
Jib: Life is great these days...and maybe particularly so because no drunk people are knocking on my door and making me feel uncomfortable >_> Good luck with that, commander ;)
Jib: Get some ice on that! Ugh! That really sucks -- I'm sorry to hear that. Reminds me of all the times I've just gotten back into something like martial arts, intense exercise, or what have you -- and just as I start to get a lot better, I end up injuring myself, having to stay away from the activity for a week or a month, and then suck when I get back to it. Only a reminder of how Sisyphean this life can feel, no? :p Ah, well, you'll be better soon enough, and I think you'll get the rock to the top of the hill eventually ;) So yeah...enjoying life is definitely something you have to love! I'll remember that...and thanks, that really uplifted me. I used to play tennis a long time ago with my next door neighbor...good memories. Really fun game too!!
Jib: Big day then, huh? And letting the nerd out is always a good thing to do...suppression gets to people after a while, for sure! So you're enjoying life...great. I'll say the same for myself :D
Jib: Yar!! aaaaaawwwwwwwOOOOOOOOOOGAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Yeah. I think someone spent ten minutes too long in the closet today =D XD So how've you been, man? And by the way, I saw your post in the user console (Stained_Glass became an ally), and I have to say, you're the man.
Jib: Grrrrooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
Jib: I am doing well. "I'm breathing"; one of my best friends always says that. Kind of a nice way to think of breathing as all you have to do to be content in life, no? Aside from that, I figure God's trying to tell me something by the fact that the Chrono Trigger ROM didn't work, and neither did some other ones that I've tried. I wanted to play that game, but I can't find a copy that works...so I'm not playing videogames anymore, and so I'm not able to ignore anything that's going on lately. I look at that as a good thing, though...I think one of the best things you can do right now, personally, would be to finish an RPG or some game with a great plot that has a definitive ending to it...and then to take a break. I still have to keep monkey island in mind, but I'll keep pressing Tales of Phantasia!..check it out if you want, and don't check it out if you don't want to: But either way, I think this link should still be good (it's the SNES Emulator, as well as the ROM for the game): http://www.yousendit.com/download/Y1RyMWZJeDNlaFJMWEE9PQ and http://www.yousendit.com/download/Y1RyMWZLU1BreEFLSkE9PQ
Jib: It really can. Speaking of which, how've you been holding up lately?
Jib: I will have to consider this. That looks like something from N64, which is a very, very good sign. On a random note, I am planning on trying Chrono Trigger, as Tales of Phantasia left me feeling sort of lonely. It's funny how you can get attached to virtual characters -- it's just like that forlorn feeling you get when you finish reading a book or watching a good movie, you know? Monkey Island...so it's that good, huh?
Jib: Thanks for the comment! I love good criticism, and I'll keep what you said in mind -- thanks again. P.S. RrrrrRRRRRRAWWWWRrrrrr. You should download Tales of Phantasia for SNES. It's PHANTASTIC!!!!!!
Jib: Heartbroken after the first date? What happened -- and how are you taking it?
Jib: Empire Earth, huh? Is it anything at all like Strategic Command? Because we played that when I was in high school and it was amazing. Although I did really suck at it, and had absolutely no idea what I was doing, and basically got owned. :) I will have to ponder that then, yes! And about waiting: It's now Tuesday, so there is only one more day to wait! Let me know how excited you are, and how much you aren't getting ready to red faction on her because of how bad that would be. And yeah, it's good not to get too attached, but I suppose it's inevitable once you really start getting feelings for someone. A hurdle to jump over at a later time, yes...in the meantime, well, hell, it's too early to tell, so good luck, and I hope you have a great time. Wednesday, yar! :pirate: Wednesday sounds like it's going to be a splendid day for splendid people to do splendid things, indeed.
Jib: I think you'll have no problems getting it -- yay indeed! Then you can drive all around in a really cool car like a Batmobile or something and just be like yeah, this is how I roll, son. And wear really cool sunglasses, just because you can. As for the lady...well that's fantastic! Wednesday...let go and enjoy yourself and do your best to make a connection with another human being, and nothing can go wrong in my opinion! In my experience, it seems like women can eat souls at first, but eventually I realized it was just the fact that I was projecting things in my own mind onto them that was eating my soul -- basically, if you let your imagination run wild and forget that women are human beings just like men are, that's where problems come in. Attachment is your enemy, and love is your friend; mutual love is wonderful, mutual attachment is where it gets dangerous. So long as you keep your perspective straight and your head clear, you'll be fine. I may not have ever been on a date, but I've had my soul eaten quite a few times, and I know enough about that, so trust me! You will be okay :)...but if you start feeling something gnawing at your insides, go Red Faction on whatever's attacking you, and things will clear up easily enough. I suppose that's really all you have to remember! ....and yeah, also the part about women NEVER being what eats your soul. Because going Red Faction on your date is definitely not advisable. Please don't do that! >_<
Jib: Like what you've been doing? And how far are you into getting a license, again? One other thing...saw a commercial the other day, and Red Faction was in it. I instantly thought of you!
Jib: Red Faction ftw. YES! And no, I don't study at college...I went for one semester, then dropped out. It was getting in the way of my education ;) (yes, sometimes I have to make smartass comments like that) Basically, I was having too many psychological problems to continue going, and when I stopped, I spent the next however many months (I'm still working on it) fixing myself up and whatnot. So basically, since I dropped out, I've spent all my time reading and writing about nutrition, psychology, religion, philosophy, music, martial arts, theophilosophy, so on and so forth...I pretty much spend all my time doing that kind of stuff, producing whatever material I can and learning as much as I can as often as I can. It's a lot of fun. I might be a jerk for doing that, and a lot of people seem to think I'm being lazy/selfish/blah blah woof woof, but as Jimi Hendrix said in "May This Be Love": "Some peope say daydreaming's for all the lazy-minded fools, with nothing else to do -- so let them laugh, laugh at me, so just as long as I have you to see me through, I have nothing to lose; oh, my waterfall" (in reference to his inspiration/creativity). BAH! So yes, that's about it. What about you? You go to a university or anything of the sort?
Jib: Yes!! There's almost no one who ever wants to practice sparring...I did recently find two guys, but the sense of proportion isn't quite there (let's just say I've almost had my nose broken a second time by getting back fisted full-force in my face, after trying to get the point across that sparring is LIGHT to MODERATE contact...as my instructor always said, though, if you get hit in the head, it's your fault and you deserve it because you didn't have your guard up). So yes, anyway...blowing stuff up is for the win. That's a fact ;) How much fun've you been having with it?
Jib: How far are you into Red Faction now? Also, you will be epic soon enough. Never again, but only for a while...just like you said, not until you get better. Like back when I was going to karate, I got my ass kicked in nearly every sparring match, but I think now that I've been practicing so much for about a year I'll do a lot better when I start up classes again. I just made a salad and ate it, and it was great. I feel pretty good now; it was raining, and I like rain, especially when it's not too cold -- just cool. That's about it! What about you?
Jib: Damn work is right! -_- And about failing first: It's half the fun, isn't it? It's provides a standard of comparison to gauge the epicness of the win against, so to speak. You know, if you REALLY suck A LOT at first, you only have to get MODERATELY good before you're like "Wow, exercising my newfound mastery of these abilities is amazing." And then the ecstasy from that first mastery doesn't get exhausted until you get good mileage out of it, then you learn more skills, and so on and so on. You will be the tennis master! The Tennis Ronin. Hope the work eases up for you so you can practice your incredible racket-fighting skills so you'll be ready to take part in the Revolution. Down with the Shogunate! Those dirty imperialists! Or is it the other way around? I don't know my Japanese history too well, I'm sorry :( But keep practicing anyway, it'll be great, really!
Jib: 1) Good luck on try outs 2) (in reference to your becoming of an ecstatic-ant-army jacked up on PCP (or something like that) in terms of writing poetry/being creative: That you will. ;) I have a feeling it won't be long, either!
Jib: Ah, yes...that's always fun XD Apparently everyone I know is more interested in walls than in me. Just kidding! LOL...well, yeah, you might know the feeling. It's no good. Fortunately, there are enough walls to go around for everyone. So I think I will bounce my ideas off the wall instead...much like how you're playing tennis against the wall, only I'm using my brain to make words and thoughts instead of making my arms swing a racket. I think swinging a racket is more fun, though, to be honest. Tennis is a LOT of fun.
Jib: LOL yes! I downloaded an emulator recently and occasionally play Dragonball Z Hyper Dimension for SNES. I emphasize the word OCCASIONALLY. Videogames will suck you in like krill into a whale's mouth. Though that's more filtering in. ......but yeah. ! Being happy with what you have is very difficult to do, like how now I'm sitting here kind of wishing I was doing something with someone, but that isn't happening, so I'll just listen to music and work on writing/reading/blah blah blah. Can't connect to the world through other people face-to-face? Connect to it through art. Can't connect to the Internet? Well then you're just fucked. Just kidding! XD Seriously though, as a starting point, see if you can get the feeling you have while playing that game to come out in other areas of your life. I've found that the pleasure of falcon punching someone in Super Smash Brothers or beating the piss out of random characters in Soul Calibur...I lost my train of thought. Main point: I am learning how to feel as good sitting around and thinking as I do when I'm playing a videogame. I can blow stuff up in my mind...maybe that's it? KABOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jib: I've done tennis and kendo in the past, and I still practice karate/martial arts in general, though I practice by myself now. So I suppose I'm like a half-pretend nerd? :) YES. And oh, thank you for the comment! And don't feel bad about laughing, that's what I was going for! It's important to laugh, and if I can make someone else laugh, then...well, that's a very good thing. So thank you. Wark. Wark? Yes. Perhaps I am not a chocobo as I dreamed I was.
Jib: How soon do you think you'll get your license? Yes...that would be fantastic! And tennis owns too...lots of fun to play. Let me know how both of those are going whenever you feel like it :) As for me, I've got no idea what I'm up to. Oh...listening to LOTS of Jimi Hendrix. I've been into him for years now, but every time I get back into a "Hendrix phase," it's always better than the last. Awesome music -- so positive, in so many ways. Absolutely love it. And that's about it! Have a nice day :)
Jib: Look for dinosaurs riding the stars. Then there'll be the answer; if you've ever seen a T-Rex riding a comet, that is, you'll know what I mean. And I will too, because right now I don't know what I mean, but if I saw THAT, maybe I would. And terminator was very good, I heard...very fun movie! I liked all the originals, but I've yet to see the newest one. How've you been lately??
Jib: You win at life today too. I am sure of this. You know what's funny though, I heard of this movie the other day called "Pandora's Box," and apparently it's about a girl who fucks up everyone's life because of how hot she is. Well, that was the description my friend gave, and I thought that was pretty funny, so yeah. I don't know how good it is though! But for the whole woman thing overall: ?????? That's all I have to say, and also, good luck to you! Ahhh....women, though.......I bet that they take showers. And I bet they're in actual showers, not just in the rain. That is something worth thinking about, I believe. I'm not sure why, and I actually am not thinking about it, but yes. TALLY HO!!!!
Jib: Morrowind! I've heard of that. So it's very good, huh? As for me, I'm doing well, thanks! Just floating around lately, but I'll get back to you on that ;)
Jib: That made my day. And I think that's why I win at life today :) Whatever the reason, good thing you didn't tell me -- I've learned that 'knowing what's going on' at any point in time is always a sure-fire way to get in trouble. Unless you're attacked by a bear and you don't know what's going on. Then in that case you should, and you should also know how to run away, very fast. But yes, aside from that, today felt like a home run for some reason. So thank you for that! Because funnily enough, that message you sent me had everything to do with it...cake sucks without the icing, so thanks again ;) How've you been lately, by the way?
Jib: WARK
Jib: Scary chocobos!!!!!!
Sophia: it has been a surprisingly event-filled year. :) Should I tell BlueEmily that you asked about her? Maybe she'll rejoin the site then...
Sophia: seriously. what have you been up to?
Jib: Also, I think you're pretty fantastic, so thanks for sharing the fantastic nature of your self with the rest of selves on this site. It is well appreciated!
Jib: Wark. You are not a chocobo?
nobodies_hero: Wark to you too my friend.
dreadheadude: Yosh! Peace love and happiness.
cleverclogs: Is your badge an image of the twin towers?
leel: ohi!
BlueEmily: boo?da.
leel: I'm alright. On spring break woohooo! What've you been up to?
leel: y, hello tharr
BlueEmily: Indeed! ^.^ Waarrrk!
BlueEmily: lol, what?
BlueEmily: Siiiiiiiiiiiiing!
lingeringdistraction: Poke I say.
Skull: HELL YEAH! :D
Skull: We'll be the soliders of tomorrow!!
Skull: I've read that. I suppose as you play through the trilogy, you're meant to become this awesome halo-fighting machine. :p
Skull: Indeed. :p I can't recall the level name, but there is a bridge with turrets at both ends; and trying to make our way across, we kept blowing eachother up!!
BlueEmily: lol. Of course, of course. You'll get it back, though. Fully, at least.
BlueEmily: lol! Yayy!! Good to hear!
BlueEmily: Indeedly do.
Skull: I wish you the best with it. I've only played the story on the first game. I did co=op with my brother and it was sh*t funny. :p
Mvushaji: true, true, but i couldnt think of another phrase that would incorporate the purpose of the game. btw. get all the skulls and you unlock the hayabusa armor set. it pretty much rocks.
BlueEmily: You can watch all the episodes of Ugly Betty on abc.com
BlueEmily: I find your randomness to be insanely refreshing and original. It's a like a breath of fresh air after a tedious day of having to interact with disagreeable people.
BlueEmily: ah yes, that happens to me a lot.
BlueEmily: lol. That too? Do your homework, then!
