--I'm only interested in summertime (when the living is easy), kids from one to ninety-two, instant karma, playing guitar (just like a'ringin' a bell), autumn in New York, the birth of the cool, mystery tramps (want to make a deal?), places I'll remember all my life (though some have changed), lilac wine (sweet and heady), eating chocolate cake in a bag, bright copper kettles / warm woolen mittens, wild horses (we will ride them someday), changing birds, what is and what should never be, blues at sunrise, a fast car (fast enough so we can fly away?), going my own way, little pink houses (for you and me), weeping guitars, someone to watch over me, jokers/thieves, and hoping, someday, my prince will come.

Everything else can wait.

Under Construction

More info about me...

Last updated... if ever??

Why I keep coming back:
This question implies that I have a choice.

Languages I speak:
English and very, very limited Spanish. I make up words a lot, too.

Favorite music:
The Beatles, Damien Rice, Jimi Hendrix, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Eric Clapton, Jeff Buckley, Robert Johnson, Elliott Smith, John Mayer, Joshua Radin, Led Zeppelin, Louis Armstrong, Matt Nathanson, Ray Lamontagne, Robert Glasper, The Frames, District, Ron Eschete, Matt Singer, Leona Naess, Mark Mulcahy, Bob Dylan, Queen, Michael Hedges, Herbie Hancock

What I like to read/have read:
Allen Ginsberg, Ezra Pound, J.D. Salinger, James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Carl Sandburg, John Donne, Sir Philip Sidney, Andrew Marvell, W.H. Auden, William Faulkner, F. Scott Fitzgerald, J.M. Coetzee, Frederick Douglass, Herman Melville, Jacques Derrida, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, Emile Durkheim, Toni Morrison, Samuel Beckett, O. Henry, William Carlos Williams, T.S. Eliot, E.E. Cummings, Marianne Moore

Favorite movies/TV shows:
Movies:
The Shawshank Redemption, Braveheart, Ocean's Eleven, Rounders, Waking Life, Good Will Hunting, Cinderella Man, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Stand By Me, Stranger Than Fiction, V for Vendetta, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Mr. Holland's Opus, Wag The Dog, Bob Roberts, The Breakfast Club, A Beautiful Mind, A Walk To Remember, A Knight's Tale, The Departed, The Shining, Maverick, Love Actually, The Illusionist, Fight Club, Requiem For A Dream, Across The Universe, Cloverfield, Casino, Goodfellas, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Brothers Bloom

TV Shows:

Family Guy, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Good Eats, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, The Wonder Years, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report

My favorite activities:
Writing, Cuddling, Smiling, Discussing, Midnight Walks in the Woods, Sleepovers, Day-trips to Chicago, Literary Theory, Philosophy, Love, Jazz/Blues music, Egotism, Social Science, Good Kissers, Selling Alibis, Aesthetics, Red Herrings, Deviant Behavior, Friday nights, Dreaming, Kitties, Warm Decembers, People-Watching, Wondering, Good Lyrics, Pretending to know how to dance, Smiling graciously, False modesty, Expressive hope, Dancing in the moonlight, Telling half-truths, Leninism, Lennonism

Worst fears:
I really hate spiders. Other than that, I don't get afraid too often.

My dreams and ambitions:
I would like to, someday, be a college professor in English or Psychology at a major university, either in the United States or England. If I had a preference on which university, I would choose the University of Chicago or the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

What I'm thinking right now:
LoBD is becoming a bit of a burden.

I want to meet people like this:
"'My idea of good company...is the company of clever, well-informed people, who have a great deal of conversation; that is what I call good company.' 'You are mistaken,' said he gently, 'that is not good company, that is the best.'"
-- Jane Austen, Persuasion

If you want to meet me, this is how to say "Hello":
In a friendly, creative way

Favorite subject in school:
English and Sociology

If I could have any superpower, it would be:
Effortless Flight

My most cherished virtues:
Honesty

Clubs/organizations I belong to:
In high school, I was President of the National Honor Society. Also, I belonged to Model United Nations and Political Action Club. Occasionally, I showed up to Student Council and Key Club. I constituted one half of the "Chess Club," as my mentor and I would exchange games often.

Now, I belong to WSUM 91.7FM Madison, where I am a radio DJ. Also, I coach little league baseball.

Shows/performances I have been to:
Too many to list. The most prominent and impressive, however, do stand out in my mind. In October 2005, I saw Paul McCartney live at the United Center in Chicago, IL. In December 2005 and 2006, I saw the Trans-Siberian Orchestra perform at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI. I was blown away by all three shows.

I finally made it up to Summerfest to see Colbie Caillat and the Goo Goo Dolls after living in the Milwaukee/Chicago area my entire life. They were both good.

Anything else?:
i like my body when it is with your
body. It is so quite a new thing.
Muscles better and nerves more.
i like your body. i like what it does,
i like its hows. i like to feel the spine
of your body and its bones, and the trembling
-firm-smooth ness and which i will
again and again and again
kiss, i like kissing this and that of you,
i like, slowly stroking the, shocking fuzz
of your electric fur, and what-is-it comes
over parting flesh . . . . And eyes big love-crumbs,

and possibly i like the thrill

of under me you quite so new

Silver_Dragon: I miss you :(
CashYoung: Oh, alright then thank you for the tip.
HellFire: Well it was abit rude. You could just say it sucks and be done with it. I knew it was not my best work.
HellFire: You know Matt my poem I was just typing not really trying and I pretty much said that in the about thing thingy. So chill out on the whole stuff. Okay? Because I'm really not in the mood. But thanks for taking the time to type it. Tho Im not going to read it.
somewhereful: I'm glad that we met. I'm in awe that you manage this site as well as you do, on top of everything else that you manage in your life. Thank you for all of the time and work that you put into this site. I'm embarrassed that I left two words out and that I am writing this now to correct myself.
somewhereful: Meeting you on omegle.com a few days before I left for Colorado last spring was coincidental. I'm glad we met. I'm in awe that you manage site as well as you do, on top of everything else that you manage in your life. Thank you for all of the time and work that you put into this site.
Paresthesia: You're fantastic! Thank you for creating a haven and an outlet.
MaybeSooner: Thank you for being so amazing. :r_biggrin:
nobody: Sorry for your puppy.
nobody: I bought an mzell minion pin today. :D
Adrielkeska: By the way, nice puppy.
Adrielkeska: I am always giving you a funny look. Have you seen my face? Funny looks are all I do.
nobody: Aderhold speaks for me too. :worship: -- Actually people who'll speak all these things here all speak for me. :worship:
Aderhold: Man, everything you do is awesome. I have no time to myself anymore, now with the life I run. But you, you man, you sit here, run your life, this site, and go to school! DAMN MAN! I can't even work and do anything else!! I love this place, even as little as I'm here anymore. Thank you, thank you. Thank you for everything you do here and everywhere else. :worship:
nobody: Tophat speaks for me. :worship:
Tophat13: We do appreciate you. We do realize that you have your own life, yet you still devote some of your time to this site that we all enjoy. You've created a safe place for some of us, and you've given us all a unique chance to make friends with like-minded people. I'm far from perfect, but you've helped me become what I am now, and I thank you for that as well. You're an amazing artist, and have far more patience than I'd even WANT to have. I wish I could speak for everyone, but I know for certain that at least most of us are incredibly grateful for all of the work you do here.
nobody: Oh I've just found the shirt you wore in the last profile picture is from LoBD! WOW~!! It looks sooo good!
nobody: I've been feeling uneasy this whole afternoon for trying to ease Tophat's embarrasent by taking you as a comparison. I think what I tried to express was that even a person who is much more rigorous than him may make this kind of mistake by very rare occasion -- But actually I've actually never met any spelling mistake from you for one single time(except for that in Oakheart's old biography). So it's really silly to say that. I guess you might feel not very good when seeing my groundless comment. oh sorry, I'll just take that back. :(
nobody: Oh you're featured again! :)
nobody: I guess I have so many words to say -- it's very comforting and warm to see you're online; and I'm actually not sure I master all the coding stuff, but it seems like such a boring headache to do that it felt distressed(oh I can't find any suitable word :( ) to see you worked hard on that :( ; and today's activity now looks marvelous !; but it feels a tiny frustrated to see that in the past it was only you that knew my tracks here but now everyone else can know them. And now I'm finished, finally! =)
nobody: *^ ^* hehe!!
nobody: If you ever need, I can help you do some coding in my summer holiday! That's one of the things that I'm curious about on lobd.
Adrielkeska: Mmkay. Things have changed. Ho'snap.
concealed: How do you do that? I want to be able, to put up music! :dunno:
nobody: Just, suddenly, inexplicably, wanted to leave a smile here -- > : )
TrapDoors: hey stranger
nobody: Oh, you're featured today! That feels awkwardly good! :)
nobody: Sometimes I just drop by here to listen to your song of the moment. It's blue, but sometimes would feel so good.
tannerk: i added you to msn, i dont have AIM, not alot of Canadians do
tannerk: hey, i posted a few things recentley that I plan on putting in my creative writing portfolio for school. I was wondering if you could give me any advice on the poems itself or the portfolio. Thanks
tannerk: Moreover, I thank you for your criticism and hopefully will better myself as a writer. I joined this site as a first year English student at University and hope it betters me as a student and a person, so we'll see where this goes, shall we?
tannerk: You have good points, however, you are not always right. Arrogance is not good. However, on a positive note, love the James Joyce quote in your personal quotation, excellent writer (obviously).
tannerk: I don't know if you receive notifcations when I reply to your comment on one of my posts, because I am new to this site, but i replied to your comment about hope. Take it as constructive criticism, to use more constructive criticism. lol.
Adrielkeska: That's silly. There's not much to miss.
Adrielkeska: Hardly cute! But thanks. And yes, I agree. A real conversation would be great. for now, I'm heading off to bed. Remember to take care of yourself, yes?
Adrielkeska: I'd hug you if I were closer, but here's some warm fuzzy feelings tossed your way... Hope you get them.
Adrielkeska: I think Mzell needs some love.
ElanSurtax: :] Thanks for reading over it and spending some thought on it (assuming you aren't merely humoring me). Also, regarding my new rank: I promise I'll try not to break the Shoutbox like I've noticed some other people might have. Thanks.
ElanSurtax: Hiya, I'm too low of a rank to use the Shoutbox, but I still felt the need to disagree with a point you made. Attempting to break someone of their habit of talking differently (for whatever misguided purpose) does not make them "better." If by "better denizens and citizens", you meant, "better denizens and citizens in the imperfect human perspective of Mzell", then okay. I respect that this is (at least in part or majority, I'm not sure) your site. However, it is rather annoying that you frequently act as if certain people or groups of people are inferior to yourself or other members of LoBD, and that you have the right to declare what is right and what is wrong (and to a far extent, you do. This is your site, and anyone who doesn't respect that can tickle off, but sometimes I feel that it goes too far. ). I respect constructive feedback, but I do not respect declaring a right handed method of speaking as correct, and a left handed method as wrong. The thing I've found with LoBD (not talking about you in particular) is that, despite what people say, they are extremely closed minded and have a very set and particular expectation of what is good and what is not. When something fails to meet that expectation, a consequence of that seems to be the flame wars and name calling you see frequently on LoBD. I can see why MissKittie would have rocks thrown at her, her poetry is very shallow and unoriginal, but I cannot understand why omni would get chewed out in the same fashion for doing something DIFFERENTLY. Albeit annoying, and I'm sure he already knew people found it annoying, it was not incorrect, just like one manner of poetry or creative writing could be different from another. Just an observer's opinion to match an opinion.
omnicron: Cute. But I can drop some science on you as far as "personal confusers" go
omnicron: So sad. I play Kelani's music all the time
Chuck_Norris: What was wrong with "Why Cherish men or gods when you can cherish what's best in you, the will to be great." It got deleated.
omnicron: What happened to Kelani? Is he even still alive? We talked in 1996.
omnicron: Excellent Bio. I too love mittens.
Chuck_Norris: as you say, boss.
Chuck_Norris: After reading your bio I have determined we are the same you and I; Do you have a unquenchable thirst for power that can only be solved by hurting others?
Adrielkeska: See? Be happy.
omnicron: Apologies for the bad poetry, testing the waters with old material... last time I post such things
Skull: Not ICQ - from personal experience. :p
MaybeSooner: There are poets a lot better than me but thank you for the compliment
gerilynn09: I'm glad you liked it!
gerilynn09: Oh i gotcha!
gerilynn09: A little past your bedtime, eh?
BruceJuice: Would it make you feel better if I refreshed your profile page a few thousand times? We can get that view cout up
BruceJuice: Just base her raise by a percentage increase of what she's earning now. A 10% raise would be nice I bet
leel: Do I get a raise for testing all these things for you?
gerilynn09: No they do not! Prove your love! create me my own special mzells lover badge!
gerilynn09: Hello Mr. Zeller! I got on IM last night and you were nowhere to be found!
Calico_Cooper: I was just wondering, Where did you come up with the name 'Mzell'?
Calico_Cooper: Awesome Geddy Lee Picture!
amoureux: Wow, I want an Amoureux is awesome award!!!
Calico_Cooper: Hello, How are you?
leel: Ens is the LoBD hot girl these days, so take it up with him.
Khorin: Thanks for the welcome!
Adrielkeska: You're featured. Which is exactly correct, as you are the finest example of a denizen anywhere.
Adrielkeska: Since when has this been a family website? :eyeroll:
Adrielkeska: What do you prefer?
Aderhold: So, like, you are, like, so totally working, like, really hard on that there, like, event, eh? That's, like, so totally, like, awesome of you. You're like one of those, like, super-coders! You, like, rule!
Skull: I like your 'Mzell is awesome' award.
beaconhill: The latter, if you must.
Adrielkeska: Awww. :') Thanks. I needed that.
Adrielkeska: Hmm, is this a test, or have I been moved up?
Adrielkeska: Just thought I'd let you know that I still get to secret1.php when I click on Kelani's name on the Denizen list. Not that I'm complaining, just wanted to let you know that the coding is still mixed in there.
Punky: Get on AIM
Punky: I challenged you to chess dude, send me a message when your online so I know you made a move.
Adrielkeska: I wasn't a fan of 9 either, but I did like Rootless Tree for reasons that I've never been able to bring myself to scream swear words. Cannonball and Volcano are both favorites of mine, but I like most of the songs from O. I have to admit, I haven't heard his older music.
Adrielkeska: I started listening to Damien Rice about when his 'O' album came out, but never owned a disk. Love his songs, his voice, his lyrics. Which song is your favorite?
Adrielkeska: Just out of curiousity, do you still like Damien Rice?
Adrielkeska: You don't seem to be the kind of guy to be found sporting underwear on the outside of your pants and a bright red cloak waving in the wind, with a bad haircut. No, Matt, you are not the makings of a hero: rather, the makings of an antihero, in a cool black coat and sunglasses. I think.
Adrielkeska: So... you're the great hero of LoBD?
Adrielkeska: We all need something to aspire to :D
Adrielkeska: I don't know if I've told you this or not, but I admire your profile. Only a manly man can sport pink.
Blick: Oh man, I think it would be so cool to be a DJ. I always hear about how they don't get paid much though. To be paid little to play music and listen to myself talk would be worth it though.
Tigerlily: the pink is sexy.
Mvushaji: haha yeah i know it, but it didn't let me put 'squared' in the title.
BlueEmily: I take it you work the radio on halloween?
dragonlove: Hey! *prepares to take umbrage*
Adrielkeska: She does that, quite often. But, as she is Dragonlove, she will think and do as she does and be stubborn about it. But, out of curiousity, does one have to have certain temperature levels to be your friend? :P
BlueEmily: Oh man! Thanks for sharing that with me! I checked out the rest of the song and it's reminds me a lot of the guy I wrote about in my entry. Minus the love part. Cuz we didn't love each other.
BlueEmily: ooo, creepy!
BlueEmily: tell me something that inspires light-hearted conversation :d
BlueEmily: Make me smile, then.
Sheepdog_McFry: greetings, how are you?
Adrielkeska: Err.... I seem... To not quite understand... I do have msn, google, and a very ignored yahoo account, if... that's what you mean... (I'm unintellegent on two hours of sleep! :D)
