Sheepdog_McFry: JIB hiiii
Silver_Dragon: your welcome
Chuck_Norris: That was actual a hiku, the / means line brake
Chuck_Norris: my trenchcoat, my trenchcoat/ covering my unkempt blazer and an overwhelming sense of ennui/ why can’t one of your pockets bee filled with love?
tannerk: I agree, you can’t really force it. I also recently got the new Call of Duty, so video games have overcome any creative process. But that will die down soon. Keeps my mind off other things as well. So everyone has their own thing….mine is video games for now ahaha, although I really can’t complain about my life at this point…As for my classes, I really like my English clases, my electives kinda suck (such as Astronomy...) Im enjoying Early British Literature somewhat, but I’m more looking forward to Later British Literature next semester. Should be fun. Also hopefully getting shows with kHans band and my other band, so I'm pretty busy in general (added that once I noticed his comment) (I also was stupid and posted this on my own sbox lol)
kHAN: just been busy with school and work as usual.. hoping to get some shows for my band soon, that would be kick ass. what have you been up to
Tru_Calling: awhh that sucks!!
Tru_Calling: hmm u r awake.... its about 435am ur time....
tannerk: It goes good, I've been busy with midterms and assignments, haven't really had time to write or comment or anything :( How have you been?
theshroomman: You know! you know?
cleverclogs: Workshopping is going good. Gotta love writers stabbing each other. If they do like something, it'susually simple and the author doesn't take too many risks. Anyway, this weekend, in fact, today, I'll be finished with my rewrite!!! I also wrote a short short story posted as my latest which is going to be workshopped this upcomming week...I hope they don't tear me a new asshole without shoving some insight up it! Try taking valerian root, that can help....or go see a doctor, it helped me with my insomnia.
ElanSurtax: I'm alive. How about you?
Cheshirecat: Change comes from within. Plus, none of the soda machines are plugged in.
kHAN: jibjube pancreas power
omnicron: I'm still here, sir
omnicron: Hope you are well, brother. When people ask me, "Are you ok?" I just look away and say "I will be."
Silver_Dragon: Eh, not so good but it's getting better. I think and I hope it is at least.
Silver_Dragon: YAY CUPCAKE TIME!! WOOT! so how you been?
cleverclogs: Shit man, get out! Being in solitude is toxic to the mood when done in mass amounts. Also I'm not concerned with "well we are supposed to suffer for the greater good" ..I mean yeah, I can dig embracing suffering, but I feel like it doesn't matter if our universe is full of despair, if so then so what, we've got to rebel and make meaning and happiness. Sorta a big Albert Camus fan, on that note.
cleverclogs: In it's truest forms, love is simple. But yes, I agree complications can arise. It's a conflict of the ego, in my eyes, that we cannot accept that our livelihood and happiness is not in our hands and entirely out of our control. I also think the construct of masculinity is characterized by hiding vulnerability and contributes to the matter.
Tru_Calling: I want Jello with whip cream n booze!!! lol
cleverclogs: By your photo alone I can tell you would have a lucrative stake in agribusiness! Second most, thank you very very, berry, much for your response. It was very interesting to hear your interpretation! I named it mort because I came across the word in a poem called "Ophelia" by Arthur Rimbaud. I admired its various meanings that I found applicable, but essentially it was the sound of an inner death. Also, the female character reminds me of the sorrow and unrequitted love that Ophelia had, and, also, Ophelia dies and floats down the river. In addition, the wings (for me) were trying to touch upon mythology with Morpheus whom takes characters down to the cave in the underworld next to the river of forgetfullness (along those lines, at least, hah). Of course, as you know, all of this manifested itself into real life from the death of my roommate, so I chose to use a mundane setting like a grocery store to show that the stories of our lives are really permeating from everywhere as well as just have something accessible for the reader. I think your reading is definitely not exclusive, if anything it is exciting to see another facet of a vision: there are many ways of "getting there", so to speak! Thanks again for your wonderful insight/feedback!
Tru_Calling: I want jello shooters!! Cherry and grape ones!!!
omnicron: Remember to have the sardines on crackers with mustard and hot sauce.
Silver_Dragon: You are very welcome. How have you been though I got to ask since we haven't spoke about that in awhile everything still good I hope.
MaybeSooner: My pins! Thank you for buying.
MaybeSooner: Thanks for commenting
kHAN: I am kHAN and I approve of your profile picture.
tannerk: lolol i was with kHan in the school library when he was writing that poem, and he was having trouble with an ending. Then he put that, and something funny, and ended up liking it. But i told him I'd tell him i hated it. so i did XD
Blick: And actually, if you have baking soda and cream of tartar, you can make baking powder. 2 parts cream of tartar, 1 part baking soda makes baking powder. But if you're out of baking soda, then you're boned.
Blick: From what I can tell in baking, there are the ingredients that make flavor, spices, sugar, and so on. Then there are ingredients that make the necessary physical changes possible, baking soda, baking powder, yeast, eggs and so on. I don't substitute anything that makes the chemistry work, but screwing with the taste is generally safe. I've substituted light brown sugar in place of white sugar, or altered the levels of cinnamon by a teaspoon and so on before. Even using applesauce in place of oil in pumpkin muffins works, I read. There's a bit of elbow room with baking, but only with some ingredients. If you mess with your baking soda and/or baking powder, then you're probably asking for a bad batch.
Silver_Dragon: lost and confused u?
samael: Thank you Jib for understanding my work and accepting me as a friend. Your comments and insight give me hope that the world might be okay one day; that maybe, just possibly, everyone will love themselves and each other in the correct proportions. Have a blessed day Jib. Thank you ...I hope that made sense because it sounds a little strange.
Silver_Dragon: I forget what we were tlaking about but yaaa!
Jib: FUCK
kHAN: heh.. the pancreas is good. very attractive if you know what I mean
cleverclogs: I understand and agree with all that you had to say! And if I represent any sort of pleasantness it's because I've been following your example, so, in turn, thanks for talking to me on here, you are a very positive figure for the community and it definitely helps the other denziens!
cleverclogs: You got onto this topic because I wrote a joke and it involved the bible and I believe you to be a Christian. I'm more of an agnostic, but I can totally dig what's to be dug.
cleverclogs: God that's so great! I'm so glad there's some happiness in the world. Where are you from?
ElanSurtax: Hehe, me too. So hard to find a balance between all of it, and if I spend too much time on keeping healthy I feel like I'm living just to be alive. Therefore, lines and Lortabs remain my cure-all drugs for everything, lol. By the way, thanks for the journal comment, when I'm hyper sometime I'll reply to it.
ElanSurtax: Purposely low on iron and vitamin c so I can see all the swirly death-colors, lol. I'm alright, I suppose, just weak.
cleverclogs: No problem! Glad I could be of some help! Keep fighting the good fight!
Blick: Also, when I cook I go by a general rule. Baking; measure everything. Unless you're toying with improving a recipe with a substitution, addition, what have you, there's really not much elbow room in baking. The rest is up to personal judgement and experience. With single pan cooking, I am generally the mad scientist type as well. A person can generally tell how much of a spice is enough over time.
Blick: I don't know about diners taking pride in meatloaf. It depends on who's preparing it really. With our restaurant, we like getting favorable results obviously, but it's the corporate offices that look after our menu selections. In the end, the cooks at my work are there to prepare the food, not to select it. Which is actually what I wrote about in the "What could we do to improve" section of my employee review, telling Chef that I'd like to see kitchen staff have more control of the menu. A place that isn't franchised, doesn't have any higher offices or an owner stifling creativity will surely have more pride in what they serve because it's actually them serving it. With this logic I could only assume that it's the diners' signature dish you'd want to be ordering. Find out what they're known for.
samael: Thank you so very much for the birthday wishes and I would write more, but I am at school and would get in a lot of trouble if I got caught on here. I have more to say but it will have to wait. Until then. Guten Tag.
ElanSurtax: Well I can't very well tell you; that'd ruin the purpose of picking out my nice little faux one.
ElanSurtax: Elan isn't even my real name, lol. It's what I call my alter-ego.
kHAN: though i did like it :dunno:
kHAN: SONGS DO NOT BELONG IN POEM COMMENTS JIB YOU JERK
tannerk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zG2ccH8jlCA listen to that , if you haven't heard, amazing poet, amazing musician. weird voice, reminds me of bob dylan alot
kHAN: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCxEWPLDg5c&feature=related ... I showed you this band before but this song is SO good! I like it a lot. tannerk showed me them a couple weeks back.
omnicron: Seems I don't catch you on AIM when you are on... Oh well, but life is treating me well enough I guess.
ElanSurtax: And hehe, I added the false date for anonymity.
ElanSurtax: No offense, but you're a terrible Santa. I hate horses, they are so very ugly. Elan would rather have a pyramid.
ElanSurtax: That's great, but post-birthday? It's like thirteen days away, I think that's the point where you start calling it pre-birthday. I'm fine, I suppose.
ElanSurtax: Hello birthday boyyyy. How goes it?
jak: Stay tuned!!! :D I'm really writing this time! Darn ADD is wearing me out.
tannerk: happy birthday dudee!
Tru_Calling: Haha it's ok but hey you never answered one of my questions for you in your pms!!

Jib: "Jib has left a message in your SBox." O RLY
Jib: oh no
Tru_Calling: Happy day before your birthday my friend!! *Big hug!! P.S. I need to talk to u go online!!
Sheepdog_McFry: Happy Birthday from England!
tannerk: I wrote my own haiku's if you want to check out. I've been reading your thoughts on kHans poems (one of my real life best friends) and your own work and I like it alot!
samael: The connection is a very great thing. Great, probably is not a strong enough word. All is as well as possible. I was busy not so long ago but life has interupted my flow. I'm working a lot more and school is ever-increasingly challenging my will. I'm holding on as well as I can manage and I hope you are as well. I hope you are well. It's been quite a while it seems. Very, very good to know you too. Hope to talk to you soon.
kHAN: I like the comment below this. So I told that woman. She said we need to talk lmao
samael: Thank you Jib. When you leave me a comment on a poem, I feel as if I have reached the highest peak of the highest mountain. To be awarded your commentary more than one time in my short few months here, I am so very grateful. Thank you for reading and for your always welcome insight. God bless.
kHAN: Hey mangggg. thanks for the comment, as always, it was very motivating. I believe that today will be the day I let it out and tell that woman how I feel. I think I'm going to do it through msn but oh well, you "gotta do what you gotta do." I feel that if I tell her then I might be able to get my hands on a dental plan and get some crowns... maybe a pair of false teeth. Haha, but seriously I'm going to write some long ass message entitled "read at own risk" and then hey after that I'll know if she feels the same and if she doesn't, well theres some clarity in knowing that I don't need to wonder any longer. It's the doors that go unto infinity that get me confused about life. Maybe I take it back.. I'm also confused by the doors that don't exist, the doors that lead to a spiky death-pit and the doors that you open while you're talking to someone and BAM theres another door. OH yeah that door doesn't lead anywhere either. So basically I've rambled about nothing but I think you'll get my point. Thanks for the comment
Sheepdog_McFry: breakfast is my third favourite part of the day, after lunch and dinner
ElanSurtax: Aww, thanks Jibblies. I used to write a blog continually on Myspace, and I loved all the feedback I would get. I wish I could have kept up with English in highschool, because I have such a hard time transferring my thoughts to the right words, and even then, it's so basic and no-frills that it barely resembles the feeling I had to begin with. I'd never be able to write for a profession.. I'm like an artist who can't actually paint. A thinker who can't write. It's a fun little hobby long missed after I baleeted my Myspace, and it's also nice to easily read other people's journals. You can learn alot from people by what they write, and I love that. It also gets you thinking about your own values, which is always a good thing. While I can't guarantee even myself I'll be here too long, for the time I've been here, it's been a positive experience and I'm glad for it. Now go to bed Jib.
omnicron: hey, get on AIM!!!

kHAN: spicytacosauce is not so spicy
Chuck_Norris: Not too much, I guess Im like half way going out with KiLLeR
Blick: If I could be thrown into a sautee station on a line, and on slow days have prep work, I'd be content.
Blick: I love cooking, but working a closing shift at a restaurant is really more like being a janitor than a cook. During winter, we have more catering (prep work) than tourists (line work), so I hate winter. Catering isn't steady, which means I spend a lot of time cleaning and doing dishes just for the sake of getting enough hours in. The creme brulee was mainly fun because my sous chef told me what to use and trusted me to make the product after the first batch came out nicely. I don't get many special projects like that and I enjoy the break in monotony. My favorite thing to make or do really is any prep work that involves the ovens. Making lasagna, meat loaf, ribs, croutons, bread pudding, all that stuff. At home I generally stick to cooking junk foods, especially cookies, because buying them is so expensive. And casseroles. They're cheap too.
