Hehe, I was not that used to them at first; but now they sound really good, especially when I am cooking.

I'll try those two later :)

* And I particularly like Satin in A Coffin!

Passing Afternoon

This is such a sad song. It made my eyes wet.

nobody: I agree. That's my song of the moment, too.

"Sometimes, with the window closed, she'll sit and think of me.
But she'll mend his tattered clothes,
and they'll kiss as if they know.
A baby sleeps in all our bones, so scared to be alone."

His lyrics send shivers up my spine. I love hearing his dusty voice singing such amazing lyrics.

Oh I shouldn't have been so sentimental this moment at all! I'll have a test worths 20 marks tommorow. And I'll also have to work. And I haven't even finished the first chapter's revision! Oh I hate myself.

But I feel so glad to see someone's listening to a same song with me. So tremblingly glad.:)

And yes! His voice is dusty -- I was just trying to find any suitable word for it(which, in other words, means I hope my English could one day be as good as yours :) ).

But as for his lyrics, actually, I can't understand them very well this moment. :( Though I can feel from the words that they're great.

Songs for the moment and also that need to be heard that are good. I don't know if you people really know of them, because I don't know alot of the songs others have posted, but oh well, don't knock it till you heard it. =].

*# I'll Move On - Bow Wow ft. Mario [great song about life, I love his 1 line when he said "an ounce of exsperience is more then a bit of advice" and "you got 1 life ain't nobody living, but you" You should really hear it]

# Going Through Changes - Eminem ft. Ozzy [I can't explain it much because I only heard it once so I'll do that later]

*# The Movement - Bow Wow ft Pharrell [also a very great song, very clean to, I understand this alot, it has a WHOLE lot of meaning to it, only 1 swear word and it's not even a bad one]

*# Changes - 2Pac [alot of Tupac's songs are meaningful to me, this is just how his life has changed and also about street drama]

*# Big Dreams - Bow Wow [it has swear words in it, but other then that it is a real meaningful song, how you should let no one stop you from doing what you want to do and always go after your big dreams. The song gives exampiles of how a few people had dreams, but turned away for some reason and was in bad shape or dead because they turned away or something else got in the way, then compared to him how he kept following his dream and ended up in good shape and rich] love it. =]

I know you people are probably thinking "Bow Wow?!", but he does make good songs once you hear his others.

*# was a great song you people may be interested in that's good, * is just s song basiclly, you may like it to though. =]

Yes, these are kinda also songs of the moment because I always like them =]
I guess you can say the main one is
Going Through Changes - Eminem
Because that's what I was headed to listen to lol.

Oh I'd like to also add:

My Type - T.I. [I just simply love it, it's so motavating for me, I think it's real and if you think hard enough, it's meaningful to]
"Keep the wind at you back, the sun at your face, remembering winning's in your blood you was born with a take"
"Go on talk *stuff* about him atleast you ain't forgot about him" =]
I just LOVE this song.

Live In The Sky - T.I. ft Jamie Foxx

Praying For You - Lecrea

Great religous song =]

Ok my song for this moment is actually
Going Through Changes - Eminem
Since I said I'll say what's so good about it.. I will.

I just LOVE it.. this is another song that should be played to.. maybe people will also understand him a little more to after this. Like he's not all rude and a girl beater and a drug head and all that crap.

He says within that song how he does keep tring to change his ways, he tried doing himself, but he's finally relizing that he needs help and he can't do it on his own.

Also about the stress in his life, it makes him want to not live anymore and someone is always trying to be in his face or bicker at him or something and it's also making it harder on him. Also saying that his fame is giving him a reason to be down all the time because he barely has any time to his self and just stuff.. your gonna have to listen to the song to get it.
Story:
Also explaining his experience he had before with pills. He once colapsed because he took to many at the same time and then finally realized that he had a pill problem.
He broke his leg before the doctor wouldn't give him any pain pills so he was looking around his home everywhere for some and then he found 7 1/2 in a napkin and took them all at once and passed down and almost died.
So even if it sounds like he wants to do them in the song.. he's just saying how he use to respond to it.
Also he realizes all the stuff he wouldn't have got to do if he didn't live.. he would have got to change his life and say certain things and all that.

He also mentions on how he still loves his ex wife and would do anything for her any day.. he just had to get away from the argueing and all that stuff.

About changes he's going though and becoming a better person.

I would say more, but I didn't put much into it because I didn't think people care that much, it may sound better then what I say.. it's not a boring song though.. I don't consider it a boring song.. I consider it a good meaningful song.

Since another person posted a link I will in the next.

Let the Drummer Kick - Citizen Cope

I found it in another thread; and it feels so good to listen to it after quite a long time.

The beat, together with its lyric, is so easy to get addicted to. :D

My Shit's Fucked Up by Warren Zevon

Also, Hellhound On My Trail by Robert Johnson.

...a couple old friends of mine. We've spent plenty of nights together just hanging out and keeping each other company.

If you ever wonder what the purpose of your life is, figure this: I don't think Robert Johnson ever would've thought his music would be coming out of computer speakers (probably there'll be plenty of new technology in the next 50 years that, if we knew about it right now, it would completely blow our minds)...and helping me get through something extremely difficult. Me? I didn't even live in his world, that era that my grandma grew up in. What a crazy thought.

And if you can't put your pain into words, there's a good chance someone else has, or's written a song about it. And if they haven't, then you can take that burden on yourself and put that pain into words so someone else in the future can find someone else who's felt the same way. Sometimes you have to reach back quite a few years to find a kindred spirit.

*ALSO:

Shamisen vs. Taiko

Sagbohan Danialou

and Burundian drum music

It's amazing how music can influence mentality. Doesn't always work and I admit sometimes I get sick of it, but...a lot of times I listen to those last few songs and it helps me feel motivated to move forward. For example, I've been depressed as hell lately and have been feeling awful, and though the feeling doesn't go away when I listen to this music, it makes me want to get up and exercise and focus on being physically healthy -- so even though I psychologically feel stuck, I can move my body forward, and maybe my mind will follow suit. There's something inspirational about the music to me because of that -- some kind of primitive drive or something? The songs explain it a lot better than I can.

"Strong body, strong mind."

Also, I have been listening to The Transplants, The Misfits, The Gorillaz.

And Richard Cheese, he re-makes songs; but replays them as lounge music, its pretty interesting; I recommend it.
